The WIDTH at the widest point is 1 7/8 inches.
The FLAT Spot on the BASE of the finial for mounting is 1 1/4 inches.
It has a 1/2 inch mounting peg, 2 inches long.
The mounting peg may easily be cut off to your desired length depending on your needs.
